IT’S TIME FOR HEALING

the wounded

Pope Francis in the interview was asked:

“What does the church need most at this historic moment? Do we need reforms? What are your wishes for the church in the coming years? What kind of church do you dream of?”

Surprisingly he gave one of the best answers which i would really like we reflect about and also to embrace because it is one of the most important aspect of our lives. it is the basis of our mission and it is what makes us Christians and stewards in whatever we do:

“That the thing the church needs most today is the ability to heal wounds and to warm the hearts of the faithful; it needs nearness, proximity. I see the church as a field hospital after battle. It is useless to ask a seriously injured person if he has high cholesterol and about the level of his blood sugars! You have to heal his wounds. Then we can talk about everything else. Heal the wounds, heal the wounds.... And you have to start from the ground up.”

Pope Francis is calling us to heal the wounds. many a time we stress our selves with mundane things and forget our soul responsibility. but it is a call especially now that Kenya as a country is facing serious problem of terrorism attack and many people need God’s mercy and our mother Cosolata’s consolation. let us be our brothers keeper and stand steadfast. let us be quick to help and love dearly for in doing this we shall have in deed followed Jesus supreme law of Love, yes love for God and love for the neighbour. let us not bargain on this. Start with me and then go to the mission in the whole world.
